Who you gonna call...

A couple days before Halloween we were listening to music while carving pumpkins.
The Ghost buster's song came on and Shelby just couldn't help herself,
She had to dance!

Halloween

We didn't do to much for Halloween, just went trick or treating around our neighborhood.  Jeremy invited some of his friends over which they both had little girls.  So the girls had a lot of fun playing with them.  I made my famous pulled pork and some potato soup from the potatoes my mom gave us.  It all was delicious.  Here is some pictures of our Halloween.

The girls in their costumes, Shelby as a monarch Butterfly and Tyra as Cleopatra
Here is my costume, the crazy cat lady, I have to say thank you to my girls for letting me borrow their cats.
Tyra trick or treating
I am proud of these spiders I made.  I made them out of styrofoam balls, pipe cleaners and black spray paint
Our pumpkins, Jeremy, Shelby, Tyra, and mine
I also made these ghosts, out of styrofoam balls and a pillow case, and wrote on them with a black sharpie.   Tyra actually did the one in the back

We hope you all had a wonderful Halloween

Pictures I love

Shelby's 1st tooth she lost

Poor girl was sick with pneumonia when I took this picture, but I still love it.

Ok, I love this picture because I got best dish at the dutch oven cook off.  Sorry for bragging.  Probably will be the only time I'll win.

I love these pictures of Tyra.  I don't get much pictures of her so I love the ones I am able to get.

Tyra's Baptisim

We finally were able to get Tyra baptized.  It was a wonderful baptism, went by pretty fast.  She was baptized by her dad and had talks given by her Grandma and Grandpa Chick.  I was so thankful for all the family and fiends that were able to come and spend that beautiful evening with us.  I think Tyra was a little nervous cause she didn't seem very excited about everything.  We were glad her Grandma Raytha was able to make it and spend some time with us.  I am so glad we were able to get her baptized.  I am grateful for my wonderful family.  I am grateful for having the church in our life.

September

I'm not much of a blogger, I should be but I'm not.  I have a hard time organizing my thoughts, so I never know what to write about.  I get pretty over whelmed.  I thought I would attempt to write about how our September went.  It was a pretty busy month.

1st the girls started school started school at the very end of August.  Tyra started 3rd grade and Shelby finally got to start Kindergarten.  Shelby was super excited to start school.  She's been ready for school for a long time now.  The girls both have really good teachers.  I have been able to go in help Shelby's class a few times.  It's been fun.  I'm going to go in at help Tyra's class starting next week.  I do enjoy my little bit of time to myself though.  Shelby is only half day so I only get a few quiet hours to myself. It's been nice.

Shelby's 6th Birthday
So Shelby turned 6 this year.  She's getting so big.  My girls are growing up so fast.  We just had a birthday party with family and close friends.  She had fun, she was glad to see her cousins and Grandparents.  She wanted apple cupcakes so I made her some caramel apple cupcakes.  They turned out pretty good.  We just had a short birthday party, cause Tyra was baptized the same day as Shelby's party.  I will talk about that later.  On Shelby's birthday we went and got the girls pictures taken.  It didn't turn out to well, She;by really didn't want to have her picture taken.  So she had a little melt down.  We finally got them taken and we got a few that turned out good.  After that was all done I took Shelby to build a bear to get her birthday present.  She picked a calico cat.  After that we went to have lunch at the girls favorite place, Mongolian BBQ.  She had a pretty fun birthday, well other then the pictures.

Some good news.

September 1st I stopped drinking soda, since then i have lost 3 lbs.  I really haven't changed my diet, i just gave up soda.  I'm pretty excited.  I have a whole month to go and hopefully longer.  Wish me luck.

Oh and Tyra is finally getting baptized September 14th.  Pretty excited about that too.

Sorry i haven't been a big blogger lately.  Maybe someday i'll be a good blogger.
