Day 28 & 29

Day 28: Thoughts winter brings in mind

The dislike for winter, that is what winter brings to my mind.
I dislike the cold, and the snow.  I would love it to be spring real soon.
I know there is reason for winter, but I dislike it.
The kids are rowdy cause they can't play outside.
And I have no motivation, all I want to do is sleep and keep warm all the time.
Now that Christmas is over, winter can go away.

Day 29: Make a Vlog

Ummm, I don't think I will.  I have nothing really to say and I don't know why I would vlog about nothing.  Plus people don't really need to see my face or hear my voice.  So you will not get a vlog today.

Day 27

Day 27: Grammy's were last night, write a review

Ummm, I don't watch the Grammy's or any of those kind of award shows.  So I can not write a review.  I actually could care less for whoever got an award or what everyone wore or who they came with.  I have better things to do then watch those.  Like take a bubble bath, way better.

Day 26

Day 26: Why do you blog

Umm, honestly I don't know why I blog.  I don't do it to often sometimes and if I didn't have someone telling me what to blog I probably wouldn't.  Or if I didn't have movie night.
I don't know, I just don't like writing a whole lot about my everyday life.  I don't know how to explain things very well so I don't write about the books I read.  I forget to post about good recipes I find or crafts I do.  So I guess I blog just because I want to, and maybe someone is interested in what I blog about.  I guess I could talk about my kids more, but I don't.  Maybe someday I will be an interesting blogger who everyone wants to read.  But for now I am just a normal Jo who blogs about stuff once and a while.

Movie Night 1-24

Tonight we watched...

I haven't seen this movie since I was in 1st grade I think, so it was all new to me again.
It was a pretty iffy movie to watch with the girls.  They thought it was scary and sad especially when the horse sinks into the mud.  That about made Shelby cry.  We had to reassure her that it was only a movie.  Then she got better.  Shelby hid her face a lot cause she thought there were a lot of scary spots.  But at the end they were happy that there was a happy ending.  So over all I think they liked the movie.  It might be a while till they watch it again though.

So for movie night we had Asian dinner.  Noodles and veggies, rice, teriyaki chicken and egg drop soup.  Shelby said I make the best dinners ever.
I even made them a pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese frosting.
We had a pretty fun movie night, we even ate a ton of popcorn.

Still doing the blog thing

Sorry I haven't been doing my January blog list.
I caught myself a cold this week, lucky me.
And have had no motivation at all.

SO here you go, you get a billion of them today.

Day 18: I wish someone told me
That Chocolate chip cookies never turn out the way you want them to.
At least mine don't.  If I want to make just plan chocolate chip cookies they never turn out.  Now if I put oatmeal or something else in them they turn out perfect.  Maybe I just need to add more flour or my butter is to soft or not soft enough.  I was told my baking powder was expired  that's why.  I have tried all of these things and they never come out right, so I have just boycotted chocolate chip cookies.  My girls always get oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, which I prefer any ways.

Day 19: 25 common sense things people should know
So I thought I would be able to do this one well, I'm always saying "it common sense people"
Well I only came up with 5 so far.
1. Four way stops, need I say more.
2. Don't touch hot things on the stove (I tell my kids that all the time)
3. School drop off lanes, already ranted about that.
4. Flushing toilets!
5. Checking out in a 20 items or less lane with a basket full of groceries.

Those are my common sense things, I have 20 more to go.

Day 20: Honor Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday
Ok, I'm not a good person, we didn't do anything to celebrate this day.
Jeremy was home, the girls were home, I was sick.
But we did go up to Walmart for a short bit.
I should probably teach my children more about these holidays and why Martin Luther King Jr. is important.  I just never think about it.  They do learn about him in school though.

Day 21: Have a great daily routine, share it
Umm, nope.  Like most moms, I get my kids up, feed them and take them to school.  Take a shower and do whatever I do that day.

Day 22: Do your kids say the darndest things
All the time.  Shelby is one of the funniest people I know.  And she is always saying funny things.
I post a lot of them on Facebook cause I don't remember well and forget things.  Like now I can think of something she has said recently.

Like last night, we went to Applebee's for dinner and when the waiter came over and asked what we wanted she said with out hesitation, "I want chicken tenders and fries"  He laughed and say asked what she wanted to drink she says "Sprite if you got it"  He thought that was funny and said, that they do have it.
That isn't the funniest thing she has ever said, but we thought it was pretty funny.
I think the funniest thing she as ever talked about was her dad hiding his nuts.
When I say nuts I mean almonds, peanuts things like that.  But the way she would talk about it would make us laugh so hard.
So one day when we were in the car and she said, "dad hides his nuts under his bed, and I don't like it."
We just busted up laughing.
I could probably write a book on what that girl says.  She is so funny.

Day 23: What's in your bag
So I am guess what's in your bag means purse.
Well, I have lots of things in there.  I have a wallet, with stuff in it, no money though, never money.
A pen, 3 packs of gum, I go through a lot of gum.  Movie tickets, hand sanitizer, lip gloss, Tylenol, lotion, a compact mirror, some woman stuff and the most important thing of all Suckers to shut kids up with.  That's why kids love me so much, I give them suckers.

Day 24: Review and Item you recently tried
I hope food counts.
It is MontChevre Fresh Goat Cheese Blueberry Vanilla
Here is the a website where you can check it out.

I think this is really good, I could eat it probably all day long.  I guess you would have to like goat cheese, I think it tastes like cheese cake.  I put it on graham crackers and it is really good.  I do recommend it, if you like goat cheese.  It never hurts to try though.

I am going to do 25 now, cause I don't know if I will be able to get to it tomorrow.
Day 25: Have an embarrassing moment, share
First of all, my whole life is an embarrassing moment, that's just the way I am.  I am kind of awkward, but I try to make it into a funny thing.  Sometimes it doesn't work.

So I have been doing Spin Class at the gym just down the street from me.  The first 30 min are spin and then the last 30 min is strengthening.  Well on Wednesday when I went we did a game with cards where we would have to get up and do burpees, knee highs, lunge jumps squat jumps things like that.  I am probably the heaviest woman in that class so I feel when I do things lots of things jiggle and I do get tired easier then the others.
So I feel sometimes they are to serious and I like to make things more enjoyable when I am having a hard time.  So I say "I know why you lose weight taking this class, cause when you go home you end up throwing up"
Nobody laughed, not even a giggle, so I had to say "I don't really go home and throw up"
So I guess I will not try to be the comedian in the group.  Or you just have to be super serious when you work out.  If that's the case I might have to stop.

Ok there it is for today, until next time whenever that will be.

Movie Night 1-17

We didn't do movie night that night.

I went to the movie with my sister and had a wonderful time,
Tyra had a sleep over at a friends house and
Jeremy and Shelby stayed home together and hung out.

However they did watch a movie that night, it wasn't the one I had planned but that's ok.
they watched The Brave Little Toaster.

We will hopefully be having movie night this Friday.

The Book Thief Official Trailer #1 (2013)

The Book Thief

Last night me and my sister Katie went and watched the movie The Book Thief.

We both have read the book and loved it.
It has been a while since I read the book, I can't even remember when I did read it.

It is a good book and I recommend it.

I have been want to go see the movie before it even was out in theaters.
So Katie and I finally went.  It is a long movie, over 2 hours long.
But it is worth it.  It was such a good movie, they did a really good job on it a and got some wonderful characters to play the parts.

So the movie and the book are during WWII and a little girl that goes and lives with a family during that time.  She doesn't know how to read but she is intrigued by books.  She learns to read and reads a lot.  Sorry I'm not good at explaining things.  It is a good book and movie, I will warn you though, it they are both sad.  I think the book was sadder then the movie though.

So if you get a chance go see the movie, it should be in the cheap theaters now, that's where we went.  Or you can just rent it when it comes out.  I do recommend you read the book, so good.

Day 16 & 17

Day 16: If you could have a super power what would it be?

Well I all wish I was like the witch on bewitched, where I can snap my finger and things go down without me doing it.  Like, what's for dinner?, "snap" Chicken Parm.  I need clean pants, "snap" laundry's done.  Children yelling, "snap" instant quiet.  oh it's 9 pm and you guys don't want to go to bed, "snap" snug as a bug in a rug.
That would be the perfect super power.  Other then that I would like to be like Ct. America.  Have a super fast metabolism, strong and can pretty much live through anything.  Actually I just would mind having Ct. America :)  He can clean my house for me.

Day 17: Host a guest post on my site

Well, I'm not going to do this one, cause I don't even know how to do it.  I'm still not good at all this blogging stuff, I just know how to write jibberish.  You guys are lucky to get that.

Day 14 & 15

Day 14: What is your biggest pet peeve

Oh man where should I start, I have lots of them and trying to decided what is my biggest that is hard.
So I think my # 1 pet peeve is,
when parents in the drop off lane get out of their car walk around and to let their kids out and stand and talk and talk to them.
If you are going to do all that, just park and walk your kid up.  I am in the drop of lane so I can just throw my kids out the door and enjoy my free time for the next 7 hours.  That is the point of the drop off lane.  Oh and another one, you don't have to drive all the way to the front to let your kid out.  They can get dropped off a few feet away it wont hurt them to walk.

Ok done with that rant, hope I didn't hurt any feelings, that is just the way I feel/

My #2 pet peeve, just because it needs to be shared

SHOES LEFT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLOOR!
If they are there I will trip on them in the middle of the night.

Day 15: What did you do before you had internet

Well, I read books.  I had to read things to learn about things.
Also I would call my friends, instead of send them a message on Facebook.
I did a lot of outside playing.
I also had to read cookbooks instead of look up a recipe online.
Personally I am glad to have internet.
I have to make sure I don't miss any of my TV shows.

January blogging

So I am going to try to blog everyday, but we will see.  I'm not very good about blogging as you guys can tell.  I have a list for January that I will try to work on.  So here is the list website if anyone would like to check it out, http://agrandelife.net/2014/01/01/31-blog-post-ideas-for-january/

I am behind, since it is the 13th, so maybe I will try to catch up.  I might skip some because I just don't want to do it.

Day 1: Share your goals and resolutions for the upcoming year

Ok, I don't usually do resolutions or goals, but I did decided one thing this year, I will lose weight.
I am planning to lose 2lbs a week or at least 5lbs a month.  I have a long way to go.  I am hoping to be at my goal weight by summertime.  I have been doing pretty good, I've been eating better and working out.  I started on the 6th and I have lost 3lbs.  I think I would eat just a little bit better I would lose more weight but it to hard to give up a little bit of sugar.
For Christmas my parents got me a gym membership at a gym by my house and I am going to start going this week.  I will be joining in on their zumba and I would love to do some weight lifting and eventually work up to the cycling class. I wanted to do kickboxing but they got rid of hat program.  Oh well, I wont give up, I am determined to be healthy and feel good about myself.  I have a treadmill at home and have been using that.  I have started to jog on it.  So that is my goal I guess.

Day 2: Share your recent holiday photos

My girls with there new Christmas hats on.

Day 3:What is your favorite gift your received over the holidays?

I think I have 2 favorite gifts,
1st a 9 cup food processer that my husband gave me.  I'm going to make lot of good stuff with that.
2nd gym membership my parents gave me, so I can be skinny and hot.

Day 4: Read a good book lately?

Yes I did!
I have had this book for 2 years now and I finally read it.  Everyone told me it was a really good book so I finally sat down and read it.
It was pretty good.  I enjoyed reading it.
I don't right good reviews on books so you will just have to read it to find out if you like it or not.  I liked it, it is defiantly a young adult novel.  There is a little bit of a love story for those who like love stories, but it also has action too.  It's worth reading.

Day 5: Round up some fun winter crafts or activities

I made this wreath.

Day 6: Take a look at recent comments. Write a post answering a commenter's question

I would rather not.  I hope that is ok.

Day 7: Create a how-to post.

How to be awesome,

Dress like this kid

Day 8: Profile another blogger

I don't really want to.

Day 9: Take a look at what you wrote this time last year. Can you expand on it?

I didn't write anything this time last year.

Day 10: How are you getting organized this year? Share some favorite tips!

There is probably lots of ways I would like to get organized this year, but I probably wont.  I just keep things simple and try to pick up after myself.

Day 11: Make a fashion wish list

Well I don't really have the greatest fashion and I will probably not change it to much, just hoping to lose weight so I can wear smaller jeans.

Day 12: Share a favorite winter recipe

Slow cooker Potato soup

This is a really good fast easy potato soup.  I really like it, so do my kids.

Day 13: Is winter your favorite season? Why or why not?

NO!  Cause it's cold!

Movie Night 1-10

For Movie Night we watched...

This is a great movie and  my girls love it.
If you are into video games you would like this movie.  My girls love pointing out all the different characters, there are some from when I was a kid.  Pretty entertaining movie.  If you haven't watched it watch it.

After the movie we had a dance party, that was a lot of fun.  We also then played video game like fruit ninja.
We had a really fun night.  Jeremy wasn't there because he had his guard weekend and had to be gone.

Chirstmas book list

Sorry I didn't finish posting my Christmas book list.
I just got busy and never sat down to post.
We did get all of them read except 1.
The girls really enjoyed me reading them Christmas winter books. We may do it again next year.
