Sad Day
Today was a very sad day for Tyra. Last night she got sick and was throwing up all night. So she is very sad that she wasn't able to go to her first school Christmas party. She kept trying to tell me that she was feeling better. Her mom was mean and still wouldn't let her go. She has been whining about her tummy hurting. And now she is sleeping on the couch. So I think she still is sick, poor girl. We also didn't go to our ward Christmas party. So I don't know when they will get to go see Santa. I guess we will have to drive around Boise until we find him. We are just hoping it's just a 24 hour bug. Shelby started it on Sunday night, so we are hoping that Jeremy and I don't get sick. Hopefully we will all be healthy soon. It will not be fun to be sick during Christmas break.

2009
Here I have posted a picture for every month in 2009. Some months might have more then one picture sometimes it's so hard to choose from.
January
I thought this picture was pretty funny. Shelby wanted a piece of cheese and I guess I was busy and didn't get it open so she fell asleep with it in her hand.
February
I think this is a pretty silly picture of my girls.
March
Tyra started to play soccer in March and Shelby wanted to play so bad.
Tyra got some dress up clothes for her birthday.
April

In April we got to go to Idaho Falls to hangout with my sister. We ended up going to the zoo there. The girls loved it. I really like this picture of them.
May
In May Tyra and Jeremy ran in a fun run on base. Tyra ran a 1/2 mile and Jeremy ran the 5K. It was a lot of fun.
This is a picture of Tyra crossing the finish line. The first thing she said was, "I beat my dad!" and if you look closely in the picture Jeremy is in the back in the black shirt. So she did beat her dad.
I really like this picture of my girls.
June

The family picture at our family reunion at Nat-Soo-Pa

My husband soaking in the hot tub.
We did some lip syncing, this is Shelby singing "We've got the beat" while Tyra was playing the guitar. I was just a back up singer.

This is my little family. Shelby wasn't very happy in this picture.
July
This is the girls on Bill and Sue's boat at Spirit Lake Idaho. This is the only picture I could put up for July. The rest of them got deleted.
August
Tyra and Winston gassing up their cars.
Hazel, Tyra and Lilie at the dutch oven cook off. I love this picture.
Silly picture of Tyra swimming at Grandma Chick's house.

September
We took a little trip up to Silver City one day. This is Jeremy and the girls in front of the church.

Shelby reading Go Dog Go.
That was some of what happened in 2009. We are looking forward to the excitement of 2010!!!
A blog that is way over due
Ok, as you all can tell I haven't blogged in a very long time. I just haven't taken the time to sit down and blog about what's been going on. Now I'm overwhelmed with things. I don't even know where to start, so here is a little review on what's been going on.
August- Tyra started Kindergarten. She really likes it a lot.
September- Shelby turned 3 and Tyra played fall soccer.
October- I guess it was just Halloween. Tyra was Bat girl and Shelby was Super girl.
November- We weren't able to go up north and see Jeremy's parents because we ended up having to pay $200 on our crappy car. I found out that my thyroid is above normal so they have me on some medication for that. Tyra had a Thanksgiving feast in her class. It was a lot of fun. She dressed up as a little pilgrim girl. We spent Thanksgiving with my parents, my brother Erik and his family. Jeremy celebrated his 28th birthday.
And so far for December- Not a whole lot yet. Just getting ready for Christmas. Tyra has a Christmas party tomorrow in her class. That will be a lot of fun. I have been going to the gym. I haven't lost any weight yet, but hopefully soon.
I think that is about it. I don't really have a whole lot to blog about. My life is pretty boring and most of the time I don't have anything to complain about. I am just grateful for what I do have. I am grateful to have a wonderful family. I love them so much, even if I do get a little frustrated with my girls. I love them and they know that.
Maybe I will keep up with this blogging thing. I wont let it get to out of control. Thanks everyone for reminding me that I have a blog and I haven't written anything since July. I need the reminders.
Update blog
ok, i promise i will get on here and update my blog in the next day or two. i have just had a hard time sitting down and blogging. even now i am using my cell phone to blog, which isn't very fun.

Up North for the 4th
We went up to Spirit Lake for the 4th of July. It was a lot of fun. The girls got to do a lot of swimming. They pretty much lived in their swimsuits during the weekend, and when they said they were done swimming I would get them dressed and maybe a half hour later they were in the water with their clothes on. So it was best to just leave them in their swimsuits. We had a lot of fun seeing family. It's always good to talk to everyone, even if there was some drama going around. Don't worry I wasn't involved.
We got to see Jeremy's Grandma again. She looked a little better then when we seen her in May. She was sitting in her wheel chair and more attentive. Jeremy even got her to eat. The girls went right up to her and gave her a hug. That was nice of them. She called the girls Little Toe Heads and got after Jeremy for biting his nails. That's good, cause someone needed to. We always enjoy seeing Grandma Betty.
On the 4th of July, Tyra got to be in the parade. She road in the back of Uncle Bills truck which pulled Wayne's boat The Outlaw. Shelby was excited once the parade started. She loved collecting all the candy. Jeremy and I didn't let her go out to far to get it, we got pretty nervous. We hung out at Bill and Sue's for the rest of the day just talking to family members. That night we watched fireworks out on the lake. They were very nice. Shelby was terrified of them though. She would cover her ears and close her eyes real tight. I had to hold her through the whole show. Poor girl. Both girls had fun with the sparklers though.

We had a good time up there as always. Jeremy got to ride a dirt bike up in the mountains, we got to ride on boats out on the lake. Tyra caught a fish and named it Sparkles, don't worry we let it go that night. We didn't eat it. We did many more fun things, I just can't think of them. I'll I can tell you was it was a lot of fun. We can't wait till September. We might be going up there again for Labor day weekend. We are addicted to all the green. Well there's my update.

Thank You!
I have one polite little 2 year old. On Monday I was pretty tired so Jeremy let me sleep in and he got up with the girls. Well Shelby went poop in her diaper, so Jeremy said, "Shelby you Smell like poop." Shelby's reply to that was "Thank You!". I guess Tyra busted up laughing. Shelby decided to be polite, even if what was said to her wasn't very nice. We can learn a lot from a 2 year old. Shelby keeps us laughing.

2009- Chick Family Reunion at Nat-Soo-Pah
Last weekend we to Nat-Soo-Pah for our family reunion. It's a nice camping, park and swimming area between Twin Falls, Idaho and Jackpot, Nevada. It's by a little town called Hollister. It was a really nice place to have our family reunion. It is right on a hot spring, so the swimming pool was warm. We also had a nice little stream right by where we were camping. The kids loved to play in it. At first everything didn't go so well for us. We didn't leave the house until late that evening. We got to the camping spot about midnight. It isn't really that far from where we live. Maybe about 2 hours away. We got there tired and ready to put up our tent. Well we just shoved our tent into the car because the bag had riped, there for we didn't have a bag to put it in. Jeremy pulled out the tent and the poles for the tent were now where to be found in our car. By that point Jeremy was very upset. It just hadn't been a very good day. We were saved though. My brother Nels has a nice big Astro van that he pulled the seat out of and let us sleep in it. Thank you once again Nels and Rachel for letting us sleep in your van. You guys are a life saver. We owe you one! THE CHICK FAMILY
Now we are home and my house still is a mess. I guess I should be cleaning it instead of blogging. We are going to be taking off again this weekend for the 4th of July. We are going to Spirit Lake to spend it with Jeremy's family. We always have a blast up there. So I will have to write another blog when we get back. Have a wonderful 4th of July everyone.
Father's Day Present
I've been meaning to post this for sometime, but we have been so busy lately. Finally i decided to sit down and post it. I made Jeremy and my father a father's day present this year for father's day. I found the idea on Martha Stewarts website. Which is, http://www.marthastewart.com/. When I have time I like to check out this website. It has a lot of fun ideas. I want to thank my little sister Melania for showing me this website. I took this one idea to make my husband and father a fath
er's day gift. i just changed it a little bit.
er's day gift. i just changed it a little bit. This was the one on Martha Stewarts website. I thought this would be a really good idea, because my husband always had belts laying around the house and can never find the one he needs. I also thought it would be good to hang ties on. So I made one for him. I didn't use that kind of a hanger though. I thought the little wooden bar wasn't thick enough, so I just bought a thick coat hanger and used mug and cup hooks. It turned out pretty good and it was really easy, so I decided to make another one for my dad.
This is how mine turned out. Not to bad, I kind of like it. I'm not sure if my husband does though. It is still sitting in the bag that we gave it to him in, and his belts and ties are still sitting on the floor. Maybe I'll just have to hang them up for him. I can't put all that hard work to waist. I just wanted to let everyone know, just in case they wanted to make one for themselves. They are really easy to make.

It's been crazy already and Summer just started!
Sorry it's been a while again. I sit down to blog, but then my internet goes out or something else happens at home. So I guess it's time for an update. My sister Tracy inspired me to blog. I figured if she can blog with dial up I should be able to blog to. I don't have dial up, but sometimes our it seems like it.
A couple of pictures of Jeremy in Kansas.
I started going to a Close to my Heart card club and scrap booking club in May. It's fun. I haven't really done any scrap booking but it is fun to go and make the cards and the pages. Also it gives me time away from my kids. I celebrated my 27th birthday (man I'm getting old) on Friday May 15th. We celebrated it by doing a Kids Run on base. Well, I didn't run. Jeremy and Tyra did. They had a lot of fun. Jeremy ran the 5K and Tyra ran the 1/2 mile. She did such a good job. She ran almost the whole way. She walk for a little bit and then picked it back up. After she was done with her race she told me she beat her daddy. I even got a picture of her beating her daddy. After that we went out and ate at Taco Bell, my choice. It was fun hanging out as a family on my birthday.
Tyra was super excited to run.
Tyra crossing the finish line. If you look really closely at this picture you will see her dad a ways behind her. "I beat Daddy!" She loves to win. Just like her dad.
Shelby can't run in the race, but it didn't stop her from running.

The girls, Jeremy and Grandma Betty
Well I'm going to have to think hard about what happened last month and the beginning of this month. Hmmm.... My brain is probably going to hurt after this. Well May we kept pretty busy. Jeremy got back from his 3 week trip May 2nd. I guess he had fun. He got to see his family in San Antonio and go to a Jimmy Buffet restaurant in Kansas City. He was glad to be home though. When he got home he jumped in to his drill weekend and only really had one day to recover before going back to work. He's a tough guy. My sister Melyni and her husband came down and they ran for the Race for the Cure with Jeremy. I didn't do it this year because I didn't have anyone who would walk with me and I didn't want to walk by myself. So I went and got some SWAG (stuff we all get) and watched for Jeremy, Melyni and Alma on the side lines. I made sure I had some water for them.
A couple of pictures of Jeremy in Kansas. For Memorial weekend we went up to Spirit Lake to spend some time with Jeremy's family and see his grandma. We had a lot of fun up there. Tyra tried to fish and Shelby helped Aunt Sue with her flower bed. Jeremy and I went to our first Arena football game in Spokane. That was a lot of fun. We got to hangout with his cousins and their spouses. We love being up there, it seems so peaceful. Jeremy and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary on the 25th of May. We went down and helped Jeremy's uncle Lee build a bridge for our anniversary. It was fun hanging out with everyone. After wards we went back to Bill and Sue's house and they made steak for our anniversary. It was really nice. We are hoping to go back up there for the 4th of July.
After we got back from Northern Idaho Jeremy had to get ready for his Guard 2 weeks. He started that on the 29th of May. He got to come home the first week. The second week he spent some time in the field. It rained almost the whole time he was out there. The poor man was probably soaking wet most of the time. He is done with that until next year. We didn't do a whole lot while he was gone. We have been going to Story time every Thursday at the Base Library and also going down to Summer reading at the Grand view Library Thursday night. The girls have a lot of fun doing that. Also Jeremy's Uncle Bill stopped and seen us while he was on his way down to Utah. That was nice to see him. So that has been our summer so far. I've been wanting to go to the gym, but I've only been able to go a few times. It might have to wait till July.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone at our family reunion at the end of this month. We love going to our family reunion. It should be a lot of fun. Right now my nephews are here hanging out with us. The kids love playing together. I think they were outside almost all day yesterday. It's been fun having them here. Well I've wrote a book. So I better go now.
