Earth Day

Today after school the girls and I did some Earth day crafts.
We probably should have went out and picked up some garbage or something, but we thought crafts would be a lot more fun.

First we started out making coffee filter Earths.
Website I found this idea on is,
They turned out pretty good, and the girls had a lot of fun doing it.
Shelby couldn't just stick to green and blue, so hers has some red in it, I don't know if you can notice.

Tyra with her Earth already sprayed, she's pretty fast.
Shelby coloring her Earth
Time to spray, they loved doing that.
After we were done with our coffee filter Earths, we tried something I've been wanting to do for a while.

Marbled Earths!
These are made with shaving cream and food coloring.
here's the website

This was fun, but messy.

Tyra and her marble Earth, she stuck to just  blue and green and she said the white parts are the clouds

Shelby mixing her colors up, and of course she couldn't stick with just two colors

After we were done making these awesome Earths we thought we would be nice to the animals,
so we made some toilet paper roll bird feeders.

These were pretty messy, Tyra kept licking her fingers.  She loves peanut butter.
website for these,

The girls had a lot of fun making these and they were super excited to take them outside and find a place to put them.

Shelby trying to put the peanut butter on, I ended up helping her
Peanut butter all on
Time for the seeds
Finished product
looks good enough to eat, not.
Tyra putting peanut butter on, takes her for ever cause she keeps eating it
Time to add the seeds
All finished
