Our Cat Patches

Last night we had to put our cat of 6 years to sleep. She hasn't been doing well for a while now. It just started getting worse about 2 weeks ago. She had Kidney disease and there wasn't anything that we could do for her. The doctor said we could take her home and let her live out the rest of her life, which wasn't going to be much longer. We didn't want to make her suffer, plus we didn't want to make the girls watch her die. The worse she got she would end up going into censures. So we decided it was best to put her to sleep, so she would hurt anymore. Tyra didn't understand at first, but when we got home she started to understand. We had a break down. The Vet gave her a book called "For Every Cat An Angel". Jeremy read it to her last night. She is doing better today, I think we all are doing a little better. It will take some time getting use to. Billie, our other cat, keeps looking in the bath tub for Patches. That is were she hung out most of the time while she was sick. Patches had the loudest purr I have ever heard. We love her and we will miss her. It is rough losing a pet, she was our first pet. We know she is in a better place being taken care of.
Patches 1997-2008
