So this year we decided to put Shelby in soccer, she as been asking for a long time to play so we decided to put her in. We went through a group called Nova. It seems like a great group. She started her soccer practice before we went on our trip and let me tell you, you defiantly can tell that our little Shelby has never played soccer before. She is getting the hang of it though.
On her second practice she did an awesome slide kid into the goal. After practice I told her good job, that was awesome. What she said was, that she went to run to kick the ball and slipped and kicked it into the goal, she did it on accident. She told me her coach gave her a high five and told her awesome job. She said, "I don't know why he told me that, I didn't mean to do that, I just slipped"
It was pretty funny hearing her tell the story.
As for her games, she isn't to aggressive so she has a hard time playing. She is afraid to hurt someone when she takes the ball away. So she always keeps a good distant away from them and once and a while she'll get in there to kick the ball.
They have been putting her in as goalie once and a while and she really likes that. She does a pretty good job. We still have a ton of soccer games to go to so every Saturday will be busy, but it will be worth it. And Shelby loves playing, even if she isn't a super star.
