Ok, this Tasty Tuesday isn't really something you want to eat, but I thought it would be nice to post because of summer and all. I know it will keep my children busy for a long time.

Memorial Day weekend
Most people go camping on Memorial Day weekend, or take a trip some place to spend time with family.
That would have been a lot of fun to be able to do those things this year, but we got to spend 3 hours in the emergency room with a little girl who had an infected finger. So now on Memorial Day we get to spend it at home giving her medication and soaking her finger in warm water. The poor girl is in a lot of pain.
So our awesome emergency room experience...
We got there and there was only a couple of people in the waiting room, so I was thinking hey this might not take that long. I was so wrong. Not long after we got there 2 guys came in, one had a broken hand. We soon found out how this idiot broke his hand (I can call him an idiot cause we hung out with him in the waiting room for a couple of hours). I guess he got mad at his dad and punched his van. He was telling everyone that it was either his dad or the van, so he went for the van. When the nurse came out to talk to him he was very rude to her and yelled at her for touching his hand. I think Jeremy was about ready to pound him.
After him we got some older people in and other people in and out. Then a guy came in and told the nurse that he got hit by a car in the Walmart parking lot. I guess the lady was backing up and hit him. What's funny is he knew the guy that punched his van. It seemed like everyone knew everyone in that waiting room, and everyone looked like they were on drugs, well except for the old people. I really couldn't wait to get out of that room.
Well they decided to take us back to a room. We sat in the room about 15 minutes with Shelby crying about her finger hurting really bad. They came in and said we needed to go back to the waiting room cause the had a bigger emergency to put in the room we were in. So we went back and waited for a while. They then came a took us to a room in the hospital, not an emergency room. We probably sat there for 30 minutes. Finally the Doctor came in and looked at her finger. She said he didn't want to drain it because of how little she is, so he just gave us a couple of prescriptions and told us to soak her finger a lot to get it to open up. Well thanks Doc! You could have done that 3 hours ago! So that is how we spent our Sunday, well that was after church and everything.
We have been able to get some stuff out of her finger, but it is still so painful for her. I feel sorry for my little Shelby, I know it hurts being an adult so I know it really hurts being a child and having to deal with it. I hope it gets better soon.
Oh and here is a picture of her new hair cut, yes she now has a mullet. I think we are going to get it fixed probably go with another pixie cut.

This could have been prevented if she didn't cut her own hair. I guess every kid has to do it at least once in their life time. I have a feeling Shelby's going to be doing this a lot.

Last Day of School
Monday was Tyra's last day of school. I can't believe she will be going into 2nd grade next year. She is pretty excited. Her last day was pretty fun for them, they got out at 1:30 so it wasn't a long day at all. They had a pizza party and did a lot of playing outside. Then it was time to go, it was sad to see everyone leave, but I don't think it really hit Tyra until Tuesday when she had to go get her report card and she seen her classroom all packed up.
Tyra had a wonderful 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Hood. Mrs. Hood knew Tyra's Grandma Raytha and Tyra's Grandpa Chick. So she thought it was great to have Tyra in her classroom. This was Mrs. Hood's last year teaching. She is retiring so she can spend sometime with her husband, who isn't doing so well. We were grateful to be in Mrs. Hoods class. Thank you So much Mrs. Hood for being a wonderful teacher to Tyra!

So now it is onto summer and so far we have nothing planned and if the weather keeps being nasty we probably wont be doing anything. I did sign Tyra up for a reading group at the youth center, that will keep her busy most of June and July. We also have summer reading and T-ball this summer. We are looking forward to our family reunion. We love the family reunion. So for I think that is all we have planned this summer. Maybe I'll be good and do some blogging to keep me busy. We might also start the Harry Potter books, we'll see though. I hope you guys all had a wonderful school year, I am so glade it is over with.

Shoshone Falls
On Sunday we took a drive over to Shoshone Falls. It was such a beautiful day. The falls were beautiful. The girls really enjoyed the falls, but they didn't enjoy the walk down and up from the falls. We did know you had to have $3 to drive down to the park, so we walked down. The walk would have been a lot better if we didn't have cars almost running us over. The walk was well worth it though. We were glad we went and seen the falls, there was so much water coming down. I haven't been to the falls since high school and Jeremy has never been there. Jeremy didn't think they were that great, but when he saw them he was impressed. We had a lovely day.

Tasty Tuesday!
For My tasty Tuesday I am going to give you a recipe I actually made last Friday for my Miche party. They are so good and easy to make. They are good if you have a party or a little get together. Ok, here's my recipe,
Sausage Flowers
ready in: 35 min.
Servings: 24
Ingredients:
1 lb ground Italian sausage
1/2 C. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 C. Colby cheese
1 C. salsa
24 (3.5 in square) wonton wrappers
3/4 (16 oz) container sour cream
1 bunch green onions, chopped
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a miniature muffin pan. (I didn't have a mini one so I used a regular one, it worked fine)
Place ground Italian sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain and remove from heat.
Stir Monterey Jack Cheese and Colby cheese into the warm sausage to melt. Stir in salsa.
Gently press wonton wrappers into the prepared pan so that the edges are extending. Place a heaping tablespoon of the sausage mixture into each wonton wrapper.
Bake 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until wonton edges begin to brown.
Transfer baked filled wontons to a a serving platter. Dollop each with approximately 1 tablespoon sour cream. Sprinkle with green onions.
These were really yummy and everyone loved them at my party. I wished I took a picture of them, they looked really nice. They were also very easy to make.

I think it's time for a hair cut!
So I have been growing my hair out for a while now. I don't usually let my hair get very long, but this is the longest it's been in 9 years. I think I'm ready to cute it, since summer should be on it's way and I'm going to get way to hot. When I do cut it I think I will miss my long hair, it took me a while to get it this long. I think I'll try donating it when i cut it.

So now that you seen my hair here are a couple of hair styles I like. They are pretty a like. So we will see what happens when I get the courage to cut my hair.
