Ok, this Tasty Tuesday isn't really something you want to eat, but I thought it would be nice to post because of summer and all. I know it will keep my children busy for a long time.
Strawberry Cake Play Dough
1 package Strawberry cake mix (any brand)
2 C. flour, plus more for kneading
1 1/2 C. Salt
6 tsp. cream of tarter
6 Tbsp. oil
3 C. water
optional red food coloring
1. In a large heavy bottomed pot, whisk together dry cake mix, flour, salt and cream of tarter. Add the oil and water. If a brighter color is desired, add a few drops of red food coloring. Gently combined with a large wooden spoon.
2. Cook over medium heat until a rough ball forms.
3. Remove from heat, knead, adding a small amount of flour if dough is to sticky.
4. Store in an air tight container or baggie.
(For fun, sprinkle play dough with red glitter and knead)
