October goals

I thought I would do some goals this month.

My goals are,

1. No Sugar for 30 days
2. No eating after 8 pm
3. Be in bed by 10 pm
4. Walk everyday
5. Deep Clean my house

So far I have one succeed at number 1.
I will have to work harder this week.
If anyone would like to join me you are welcome to.  You will probably do better then I am.
I am also watching a scary movie everyday this month.  I will write a blog about those later hopefully.  I am also going to start doing our family movie night again.

Worst Blogger award goes to...

ME!

Yes I think I have earned the award.
I have been a horrible blogger.
I think it's because sometimes my life gets a little to crazy
and I can't process anything enough to write about it.

Like our summer.
It was a crazy summer.
We had our ups and our downs.
We got to see family, we also lost a family member.

It has been a fun, but hard summer for us.
But we had each other, and that's all we can ask for.
We survived our downs, and remembered our ups.
We shared time with our loved ones that we don't get to see very often.
We celebrated birthdays, and went on trips.
Went swimming, had picnics, rode bikes, and had adventures.
Seen movies, went to the library, had ice cream, and listened to great music.
Picked raspberries, ate cherries, made jam and froze peaches.
Most of our summer we had a blast.

We said goodbye to our puppy dog.
We miss him a lot, but we remember all the happiness
he brought to our lives.
He will always be a part of our family.
Hogan, you are loved and missed very much.

We always have our ups and our downs,
but mostly our ups.
I always try to look on the bright side of things,
and be positive.  Even if I am the only one.
I remember to joke and remember to laugh.
Cause how could you live in a world without laughter,
I know I couldn't.

I hope  you all enjoyed your summer.
It is now fall, and the leave are changing and falling.
The smell of autumn is in the air.
Time for holidays, family get togethers and pies.
Apple, pumpkin and my favorite pecan.
I feel it's going to be a great fall!

Movie in the park

Movie in the park started on Friday.  My kids are always excited about movie in the park, and so am I cause I don't have to come up with a movie to watch, they did it for me.

So this Friday we watched,

Tyra really likes this Percy Jackson movie.  She didn't like the first one, I don't know why.
We went with my friends Shannon and Stephanie and my sister Melyni and their children.  We didn't stay for the whole thing cause it was getting pretty chilly and the little kids weren't that interested in the movie since it wasn't a cartoon.
When we got home Shelby told me that she wanted to me to start reading these books to her, so I guess this is on our book list this summer.

Here is the list of movie in the park for June, in cause anyone would like to go who lives in the Meridian area, it is at Settlers park.

June 13: Finding Nemo
June 20: Monster's U
June 27: The Jungle Book

Nim's Island

So I have decided that I don't read to my children enough and I really need to change that.
So I started reading books to them other then the easy children story books with all those cute pictures.

We started off reading the book Nim's Island.

Shelby really enjoyed listening to the story.  She was excited for me to read and would beg me to read.  I felt good for making her happy and to look forward to something.  Especially since our movie night isn't going so well.
I don't think Tyra likes me reading because I mess up a lot and I think that really bugs her.

So we finally finished the book a couple of weeks ago.  Shelby found out there was a movie so we got to watch it for a movie night, which wasn't on a Friday.

Shelby said she liked the movie better, but what little kid wouldn't.  I liked the book better.  It was fun to read to them and have them ask questions about the book and when they watched the movie say, that didn't happen in the book.  That means they are paying attention.  It was a fun read.

We are almost done with our second book.  It is kind of short though, but it is historical.  I will write about it when we are done reading it.

I'm no good at this

So our movie nights haven't been so good.
It seems like we always have something going on or I forget about it and my children forget to remind me.

The last weekend in April Shelby and I did go see a movie, Tyra was at a sleep over so she wasn't with me but we went with my friend Shannon and her kids and seen,

The kids were excited to see this one.  Especially Shelby, she was waiting a long time to see it.  When it finally got into the cheap theater I took her.  But then Tyra was upset cause she didn't go, but she got to go to a sleep over and Shelby didn't, so I didn't feel so bad.

So after the Lego movie we have been really bad about watching movies on Friday's.  On the 2nd of May we had Jeremy's aunt and uncle here visiting and we had fun riding bikes and stuff so we didn't even think about watching Monster's Inc.
On the 9th of May we went grocery shopping pretty late and just forgot to watch Ratatouille.  Plus we were all pretty tired from grocery shopping.
So hopefully this Friday we will get our movie in.  No promises though cause the school is having a carnival and who knows if I will be in the mood to sit down and watch a kid movie after that.  Hopefully we will be getting on track though.  Movie in the park starts next month, that is always pretty exciting.

Movie night update

It seems like in spring we always seem so busy and we just can't stay on schedule.
So here is my update on movie night.

A couple weeks ago we didn't do movie night on a Friday, we did it on a Sunday.
So we watched this movie on Sunday April 13th

The girls love this movie, it is ok.  I guess I can stand it.  They were excited to watch it.  That is why we watched it on Sunday since we didn't watch it on Friday.  It was still going to get watched.

Last Friday the 18th we didn't watch a movie at all.  We were going to watch Finding Nemo.  Which surprised me cause Tyra does not like that movie, so I was surprised she was ok with it being on our list.  But we did not watch it.

So for next weekend I'm not sure what we will be watching, it could be Finding Nemo, or it could be something else.  Tyra will be at a sleep over at a friends house so it will most likely just be me and Shelby and Jeremy if he would like to join us.  I don't think he is very fond of our movie nights.

For the month of May here is our list, not sure if we will stick with it though.

May 2: Monster's Inc
May 9: Ratatouille
May 16: Lion King
May 23: Nim's Island
May 30: Jungle Book

It could change, there will be movies coming out that my girls will want to watch and I may change it.

June we will be starting Movie in the Park.  That will be exciting.  Then I wont have to come up with movies to watch, they did it for me.

Movie Night April 4th

For movie night we watched

We didn't do anything fancy for it like I wanted to.  Shelby had soccer practice so I was a bad mother and we just went through Burger King.
The girls liked the movie, that thought it was funny, and sad cause one of the chickens gets killed.
It is a fun movie to watch.
