A some what wonderful day

Today was beautiful outside. The weather was so nice, it was in the 80's. I love that that kind of weather. Those are the days I can spend a lot of time outside. I love spring so much! I love the weather, and the smell, spring is just so wonderful. We really enjoyed being outside today.

I started my day going throw stuff in the back closet. I got rid of a lot of things and organized a lot. I put most of our blankets into my hope chest since the weather is getting nice we wont need all of them. I made a huge mess in the girl's room, I also cleaned it up. I just feel a lot better going through junk that we have and getting rid of things. I can understand why they call it spring cleaning. The weather's nice it just makes you want to clean. Now that is done, I probably have other projects I will need to do later this week.

I took the girls to the park today after I picked Tyra up from school. They had a good time playing with the other kids. I just enjoyed sitting out in the sun, I got my vitamin D kick. So nice! When we got home from the park the girls still wanted to play outside. That was ok with me. I got my mp3 and went to finish the mess I left in the girls room. It was nice listening to music and not being bothered. I was looking through junk and found a book Jeremy might be interested in looking at (he was out side working on his car), so I took it to him. My mom just got home so the girls were excited to see her. So when I got over to my parents house I got to talking to my mom and noticed Shelby had pee'd her pants, so I told her to go home and change her clothes. So she ran home and maybe 5 to 10 minutes later she came out again with just her t-shirt and panties on. She had new panties on and they were backwards so she had this huge wedgie in the back. I asked her were her pants were and she said, "oh, I forgot", and went on playing. What a crazy little girl.

Well after talking with my parents for a while I went back home to finish cleaning. I wasn't home for very long when a little 3 year old came into the house telling me she had to go potty. So she ran into my bathroom and a little while later she came out holding poopy panties. I said, "oh no, did you poop your pants?" She said "No, I dumped my poop in the potty." She had poop all over her hands and feet and on my bathroom floor. Yeah, I wasn't very excited about all that, but she did get her poop into the potty. I had to put Shelby in the shower. I told her to make sure she got her bum clean. Well Tyra came inside and said she wanted a shower to so I told her to get in with Shelby. Later when they were done taking a shower I went to take them towels. Tyra pointed at a wash cloth that had brown marks on it and said, "Shelby used that to clean her bum so I put it out of the shower. I WAS NOT GOING TO USE IT!" It was so funny how she said it. My girls sure do keep me entertained. I love them so much.

As it became night, I went outside to yell at our cat Tap to come inside. While I was out there the stray cat Nosie came to say hello. I guess he just decided he wanted to be friendly and let me pet him. He's a pretty friendly cat. He has never let me pet him before. I stopped petting him and went back to calling Tap. Well not much longer after I stopped petting Nosie I felt something on my pant leg and my foot, I was wearing flip flops. I look down and that darn cat sprayed me. Yeah, I wasn't very happy. I told Nosie he wasn't a very nice cat and when inside and told Jeremy that he was to go out and call for Tap. I took off my pants and washed them and my flip flops right a way and jumped in the shower.

So, my wonderful day didn't end so wonderful. I hope tomorrow will be nice again, and this time I wont trust a stray cat.

The Month of March

March is a very busy month for us, with Tyra having a birthday and all. We had a wonderful March, wished the weather was a little bit nicer though. Tyra celebrated her 6th birthday on March 17th. On her birthday we went to Boise to get pictures taken and ate out at the Mongolian BBQ, Tyra's choice. The girl's Grandma Raytha flew in on the 16th so we got to spend some time with her. We had a little party after school for Tyra at a playground by the school. We invited some school friends and they had a lot of fun playing and eating cake.

The week after we started Spring Break, it would have been a nice spring break but the weather was horrible. We did spend one day that the Discovery Center in Boise. The girls had fun, but some of the stuff was over their head. We got to go to the Park at least one day during Spring Break. They drove me crazy most of the time. We had a good time doing crafts, reading books flying kites and blowing bubbles.

So that was our month of March and my update. Sorry it's been a while, I feel like I don't have a lot of things to write about. Hopefully I will be better about updating.

My Little Veterinarian

So my little 6 year old Tyra had to write what she wanted to be when she grows up. She told her teacher she wanted to be a Veterinarian, not a pet doctor, a Veterinarian. Tyra wrote it on her paper and drew a picture. Later on another girl told the teacher she wanted to be a pet doctor. Tyra was ease dropping and ended up saying "It's called a Veterinarian, and you want to be what I want to be." She's a smart little girl. She keeps us laughing.

New Books

Hey everyone! I finished at least one of the books that I said I was reading. I finished The Book Thief. Very good book, but really sad. If you read it you will most likely cry or at least tear up. It is very good though. I didn't finish The Known World. I just couldn't get into it. I felt like a jerk at the book club when I had to tell them I haven't even finished the first chapter part. I am still working on Anne Frank's Diary.

Well I am starting a couple of new books. One I chose to read on my own and the other one is what we are reading next at the book club.

First one, THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE

I was told that this was a really good book, so I thought I would read it before I watched the movie. I hope it is a good book.

Second One, Memoirs of a Geisha

I heard this was a good book, so I was pretty excited to have it chosen for the next book in the book club. I have a long time till it needs to be read. Our next club meeting is May 7th. So I have time to read my 1st and 2nd book. Really excited about reading these books. I guess I should get to reading them. I'll let everyone know how they turn out.

Oh and if you have any other suggestions on books to read, let me know. I love suggestions.

Books I am reading

I love to read, but I don't get a lot of time to do it. But right now I will be reading 3 books. One of them I have put on hold for a while, because I own it and I can pick it up and read it any time.
One I am currently reading and there is one I have started ready yet but will soon.

The first one is Ann Frank A Diary of a Young Girl. I am half way throw it. I have been working on this book for a while now. I think I started reading it before Christmas. It is a good book A little slow reading, but I guess that is what you get when it's someone diary. I have enjoyed reading it though.

Second one is The Book Thief. I am not that far into it, but I do like what I have read. I started reading this book because my little Sister Melyni really liked it and suggested it to everyone on her blog. So I found it at the library on base and began to read it. It might take me a while to get through, it is kind of a big book.

The third book is a book the library on base gave me to read for their book club. I haven't started reading it, but I should. The next meeting isn't until February 26th so I have all of February to read it. As long as February doesn't go by fast. The book is, The Known World.
It tells the story of Henry Townsend, a black farmer and former slave who falls under the tutelage of William Robbins, the most powerful man in Manchester County, Virginia. Making certain he never circumvents the law, Townsend runs his affairs with unusual discipline. But when death takes him unexpectedly, his widow, Caldonia, can't uphold the estate's order and chaos ensues.
I will let you know how the book goes when I start reading it.

So those are the books I will be reading this February. Hopefully I can get them all read. I really love to read. So any suggestions on books would be good. I will probably let everyone know how the books are when I am done reading them.

FOR GRAPES!!!

Today we went to Walmart to get a few groceries. I mostly wanted to buy some fruit. I am hoping that if we have more fruit in the house I will be more likely to eat that then junk food. First we ran into Oranges. 20 cents a piece. So we picked up 7 of them, came to $1.40. Then we picked up some granny smith apples $1.37 a lb, came to 3.36. We only got like 5 apples out of that. Then we got some bananas 49 cents a lb, came to $1.61. Then we picked up some green grapes. Shelby loves these so we get them. They are $3.88 a lb. We got 2.47 lbs and it came to $9.58. YEAH YOU HEARD ME!!! $9.58! That is crazy! I couldn't believe it when I see what it came to. Yeah it is my fault of picking up a big bag of grapes, but my family loves them. Come on, something that is healthy for you should be that expensive. It drives me crazy how expensive fruit and vegetables are. I think even milk and cheese is expensive. In a lot of states people don't have to play taxes on food. Real food, not junk food. I think that is the way Idaho should be. I don't think you should have to pay taxes on fruit, vegetables, milk, cheese, bread, eggs and other food that you need. The way the economy is going everything is going to be super expensive and nobody will be able to afford anything. I don't care what Obama says. The economy isn't getting any better and with all his spending it wont. We are just going to pay more taxes. So now I ranted and raved about my $9.58 grapes, next time you hear me complain it will probably be over paying $5 for a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread. I just want some healthy food for my family. I would have gone shopping at the commissary, which is cheaper but they seem to be closed all the time this time of year. So to Walmart we must go. Done and Done!

2010, Here I come!

I don't know if I am fully ready for 2010. I guess I don't really have a choice. It's already here. I'm not a big believer in resolutions. I never have been. I figured if I don't make any then I wont be disappointed when they don't fall through. Yes there are things I would love to change and start doing differently, but why should I make a resolution at the beginning of the year. I can start doing these things whenever I want to do them.
I think resolutions is something people say to make themselves feel better. They say them and knowing that they probably wont full fill them. I do that all the time. Like me saying I'm not going to drink caffeine this month or I will go to the gym everyday. I will do my best, but in the end I fail. It is good for people to have goals. But why do they set them on January 1st. You should have goals all year long. So I will not make any resolutions this year, like I haven't in the past. So when someone asks me what my resolutions are this year, I will just tell them I have none. I hopefully I make sense of all this nonsense.

Ok, I have decided to pick up a journal and write in it through out the year. I can't make any promises that I will be faithful writing in it. My Grandma Chick gave me the inspiration in having a journal. She has been publishing them for her children. I think that is an awesome idea. I haven't been able to sit down and read them though. Maybe someday I can do the same for my kids. I just hope my life is interesting enough to read about. Most of the time I don't think it is.
I don't really have a whole lot planned for the new year. I am still planning on going to the gym whenever I get a chance to. I know I will be busy with my children. The spring will come soon enough and they will be busy with sports. That will be a lot of fun. I am looking forward to hanging out with family in June. Maybe I will win at the dutch oven cook off. I My oldest daughter turns 6 this year and my youngest daughter turns 4. I will be turning 28 and I feel I have accomplished much. I still have a little while before I'm 30. Maybe I'll do something awesome by then. Yeah, probably not. Well I guess I will stop boring you. I don't really have much to write about. I am looking forward to what is in store for me in 2010.

I hope everyone has a wonderful 2010. Stay in good health and stay safe. Eat Healthy, Drink Water and have lots of fun with family!
